PRODUCTION MANAGER – PASTRY DEPARTMENT

We are seeking a motivated & experienced Production Manager to join our Pastry Team. You will support the Pastry Manager in overseeing daily operations and lead our team to ensure all products are produced at a very high standard. You will have an eye for detail, a passion for pastries and baked goods and an understanding of large-scale production.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Supervision & Leadership: Supervising the pastry team, training, and daily production planning.
  • Production Management: Ensure all pastries and baked goods are produced to a high standard and managing production to meet all manufacturing requirements.
  • Stock & Cost Control: Assist with stock management, monitoring stock levels, placing orders, manage wastage to achieve sales and profit targets.
  • Food Safety & Compliance: Ensure staff comply with all Food Safety and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Planning: Assist with Rostering, new product development, and production planning.

Skills and experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a production style kitchen or bakery.
  • Management or leadership experience is essential.
  • A bakery qualification (Level 4 or higher) or relevant pastry experience.
  • Strong time management, organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with production deadlines.
  • Available evenings and weekends.
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks, in the correct manner, lifting ingredients and equipment up to 25kgs.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to building a great team culture.
